Fit For Marriage Program Author and Director

I was the second of seven children , born January 19, 1939 near Paducah, Kentucky. I presently reside in College Station, Texas, home of Texas A&M University (100 miles from Houston).

My wife Theresa is the Lord's special gift to me. When my mother-in-law Lucy Carucci became pregnant she already had two children. She became ill and the doctor advised an abortion. Mrs. Carucci told the doctor the Lord would take care of her. She gave birth to a baby girl who is now my wife. Theresa's mother was recently called home by the Lord just shy of her 96th birthday.

I have always done well academically—Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi, Alpha Sigma Mu—Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and Master of Metallurgical Engineering. I even went to Bible College for a year. Then I signed up for the doctoral program. But the closer I got, the more I felt restrained. All that remained was the dissertation, but I felt the Lord wanted me to terminate the program—so I did.

I became known as a refuge from academia. Then the Lord gave me a temporary assignment that has lasted twenty years. I am Dr. Kool the air conditioning contractor. While Jesus prepared for ministry, He worked as a carpenter.  Like Jesus, I am ministering without the benefit of earthly credentials.

I spent 37 years in school. Besides K-12, there were nine years of college work, then fifteen years of teaching at the college and university level. With all that education, how much training did I receive in marriage? That's right, zero!

How much marital training have you received?

Jesus never claimed the title of Doctor, but He did declare himself to be a physician (Luke 4:23), a healer. That is the purpose of the Fit For Marriage program, to bring healing to unhealthy relationships. For fourteen years now I have prayerfully studied, written, published a book, and then broadcast the message on the radio. I am confident of victory. God plus even one surrendered man equals a majority.

For I know whom I have believed,
